I want to create a schedule to monitor the training of my crew, what do I do?
The scheduler is used to define training packages that need to be completed for each rank. It can later be used to examine the training records to determine the level of training completed by each crew member.
To generate a schedule:
- In FTA click the ‘Scheduler’ icon on the toolbar found towards the top of the screen
- In the ‘Schedule Generator’ tool click ‘Create’
- Enter the ‘Schedule Description and ‘Remark’
- Click ‘Select Crew Ranks’ and check the ranks you want to monitor
- Click ‘Ok’ when done
- Click ‘Select Packages’ and check the media titles that are to be included in the schedule
- Click ‘Ok’ when done
- Click ‘Generate The Schedule’
After the Schedule has been created, by default all of the requirements for each title are set to mandatory. You can define whether a specific title is Mandatory, Recommended or None for each rank. To set the requirement for each title you can right-click on the current setting and update to the desired setting. You can also change the frequency to ensure that titles are viewed more or less often depending on your company requirements.
When you have finished editing the schedule click ‘Ok’
To see the schedule report, select the report you wish to view in the ‘Schedule Generator’ tool and click ‘View’. This will display the schedule matrix with ranks referenced against the chosen media titles. Mandatory titles are highlighted in red. Recommended titles are highlighted in yellow.
To view the schedule, analysing which crew have completed designated training, click the ‘Analysis’ button. You can then select the crew you want to see in the matrix by checking up to 15 individuals. Click ‘View’ to see the schedule analysis matrix.
