IDENTIFYING EXPLOSIVES AND WEAPONS

Code No: 936

Video Running Time: 12 minutes

VIDEO BOOK

In 2002 the International Maritime Organization (IMO) adopted the new International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code.

With that in mind and in response to client request, Videotel has produced five short video programmes designed to:

  • Raise awareness of security in and around the working environment
  • Provide the viewer with a basic knowledge of specific situations and techniques
  • Support and reflect the guidelines of the ISPS code and security amendments to SOLAS
  • Assist with security planning

This video tells the audience not to think about weapons and explosive devices just as complete items, but also as components - timers and detonators, for instance.

It goes into detail, if you do discover a device, on how to act. Key points include thinking about what you are doing, not taking unnecessary chances, and keeping yourself and anyone else out of harm's way. Gives an action plan and guidance on risk assessment techniques.
