In 2002 the International Maritime Organization (IMO) adopted the new International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code.

With that in mind and in response to client request, Videotel has produced five short video programmes designed to:

  • Raise awareness of security in and around the working environment
  • Provide the viewer with a basic knowledge of specific situations and techniques
  • Support and reflect the guidelines of the ISPS code and security amendments to SOLAS
  • Assist with security planning

This video covers being alert for crowd problems both on and off a ship. Situations can change very quickly and, in a stressful situation, people often do not behave as they would normally.

Viewers are shown how to identify problems as soon as possible, deal with the situation calmly and confidently, and be ready to deal with the unexpected!
