Wherever crowds gather there is also the potential for danger and disorder if an emergency should happen. This is when basic human instincts come into play, leading to fear, anger and/or aggression.

This new training video package, based on the requirements of the revised STCW Code, is intended to help those crew members of passenger cruise ships, Ro-Ro, and passenger ferries to understand how basic human instincts come into play in emergency situations. It explains not only the instincts of the passengers, but the instincts of crew as well. Using role play actors portraying typical characters found in many crowds, it shows what to look out for and how to muster passengers and manage crowds safely.

The package will help crew members to harness some of this information to their advantage, explaining that using leadership and control skills together with their own BASIC INSTINCTS they can help to prevent an emergency from becoming a disaster.

The package includes a supporting reference book.
