Module 3.6: Container Ships and Refrigeration
As a result of successfully completing this Module you will:

  1. Be familiar with the design parameters of Container ships and the hull stresses that tend to result from these.
  2. Be familiar with the main areas of the ship that may give rise to concern and require careful consideration during surveys.
  3. Be familiar with the types of refrigeration systems that are used on board to keep containers at the required temperature.
  4. Be aware of the different levels of inspection required for the various types of survey.
