Module 2.5: Load Line Surveys
As a result of successfully completing this Module you will:

1. Be aware of the importance of the Load Line survey and be familiar with the definitions contained in the Load Line Convention.
2. Be aware of the stability and other information that must be available on board.
3. Be familiar with the main areas of the hull plating and deck that give rise for concern.
4. Be aware of the need to inspect hatch covers and hatch coamings with particular care and test hatch covers where necessary.
5. Understand the need for thorough checking of air pipes and ventilators.
6. Be aware of the special conditions of assignment for ships that carry only liquid cargoes in bulk.
