The video sets out the cost parameters relating to choosing and maintaining the paint systems applied to various parts of the ship. It is designed to assist with the right choice of paint system for each application and describes the disadvantages and advantages of various paint types for each job. Using the wrong kind of paint can be a very costly and wasteful exercise. The video then describes the design components of the marine paints which are available. The cost element is also discussed.
