Videotel TV IMO MSC Meeting

The 89th session of the Maritime Safety Committee took place at the London headquarters of the IMO in London from the 11th to the 20th of May 2011. Just over 800 delegates and observers attended a packed week that covered a wide range of topics, including the thorny issue of employing armed protection units for vessels passing through areas of high risk from piracy. In this report Videotel TV asked some leading experts in the maritime industry for their thoughts on some of the weeks key achievements.
