MEETING TANKER MANAGEMENT SELF ASSESSMENT 2
2 September 2008
We have just released Tanker Management Self Assessment 2 which is intended for use by the vessel operators’ management on shore. It will also be of value to the senior management team on board, and oil companies’ vetting departments.
The purpose of the programme is to inform users about:
- What TMSA 2 is and how it fits into the vetting process
- What its benefits are
- How it works and how it is best used
Tanker Management and Self Assessment (TMSA) is a management tool to help vessel operators identify opportunities to improve their systems. It is based on what OCIMF (Oil Companies International Marine Forum) has identified as current industry best practice, and is aimed at those vessel operators who wish to achieve a consistently flawless performance.
